Colombian-American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham)
As a strategic ally, AmCham offers various means to facilitate access to new markets and as an important partner, looks towards expanding its business, therefore obtaining the necessary objectives.
With its excellent active working relations and agendas, it encourages investment between Colombia and the United States, as well as with other countries in the region.
In Barranquilla, AmCham is one of the five branches operating as a federal agency in Colombia. Colombia, as well as AmCham, is a member of the AACCLA (American Association of Chambers of Commerce in Latin America, Canada and the Caribbean). It is also a member of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, with connection to the fifty American states.
Our aim is to promote commerce as well as investment and the free enterprise, with a goal to Colombian and American commercial interests as well as encourage commercial relations in the global markets and those within our hemisphere.
Our goal is to be the central axis of all Colombo-American commercial activities, encouraging good relations, commercial and investment exchange among its affiliated members, encompassing the nations and businesses represented by the same members.
ATLÁNTICO, MAGDALENA, CESAR AND GUAJIRA
The regions of Atlantico, Magdalena, Cesar and La Guajira are very important sea and river ports towards the industrial and commercial development of the region. The ports of Barranquilla, Santa Marta, Riohacha and Gamarra are used commercially by the United States as well as other countries, using as its main route the Magadena river, the principal fluvial artery towards the interior part of Colombia.
The economic activity is very dynamic, centered mainly in the industry, commerce, finances, fishing and logistic services.
